Area organizations in Coffeyville get in on the fun of the April Fool's Day holiday.

The Coffeyville Police Department teased a “get out of jail free card”. Coffeyville Municipal Light and Power announced the switch to wireless electricity, which includes getting rid of power lines. Thanks to groundbreaking “atmospheric electricity transmission” technology, electricity will now be delivered through the air directly to homes. CMLP says this might take some getting used to, so please do not try to plug in extension cords to the sky. Finally, Visit Coffeyville announces the Dalton Gang has been pardoned and the City will rebrand as Daltonville, with the new town slogan, "Where Outlaws Are Always Welcome!".
