Clean-up continues in southeast Kansas following some severe thunderstorms that swept through the area early Sunday morning.
The City of Baxter Springs saw broken windows and damaged siding to businesses in the downtown area. The City of Galena also experienced storm damage including several downed tree, one of which fell on a pick up truck, causing damage to the vehicle. A Galena church sustained serious roof damage, while substantial damage was also done to several residential garages. There was also a report of downed utility poles.
Residents in the four state area are reminded to keep storm planning in mind as the possibility of more severe weather remains in the forecast this week.
