The Kansas Department of Transportation begins a pavement marking project on US-69 near Pittsburg.
The project got underway this week, starting just south of US-400/K-171 and continuing north for 10 miles to US-160.
This is a mobile operation that will place pavement markings on the highway, so disruptions to traffic are expected to be minimal. Flaggers will be stationed at intersections and railroad crossings to direct traffic through those areas. Weather permitting, the work should be complete by the end of May.
