Fort Scott Community College is looking for a new President.

Interim President Sara Sutton announced her resignation from the position as the school’s executive officer last week. Sutton was appointed to the role in May 2024 after former President Dr. Jason Kegler was placed on paid administrative leave. Prior to her appointment, Sutton had taught in the school’s Agriculture Department and coached the Meat Judging Team. Sutton called her time as Interim President an honor and stated that she remains fully committed to the institution for the remainder of this academic year.

Her last day will be June 30.
