Sunday Storms Cause Fatality in Eastern OK

 

The string of storms that swept through the four-state area early Sunday morning caused damage and one fatality in eastern Oklahoma.

 

Strong winds from the storm knocked over a tree near a camping area along the banks of the Illinois River. The tree fell on a camper and trapped a couple inside. The National Weather Service in Tulsa reported that the incident occurred in Cherokee County, OK, and caused one fatality.

 

No other details regarding the incident have been released.
