Residents in Baxter Springs are cleaning up after storm damage.

 

Early Sunday morning around 2 a.m., a severe thunderstorm came through Baxter Springs and casued damage across town. Trees were updrooted, window damage to homes and vehicles took place and roofs were also torn off buildings. Some damage downtown also took place.

The City of Baxter Springs Public Works Department will be hauling brush and trees for city residents. The city says to do what you can to get fallen limbs as close to the road as possible and to reach out to city hall to get on the pick up list. Starting Monday at 8 a.m., crews will go block to block to haul away brush.
