Scattered thunderstorms are developing across southeast Kansas. A tornado watch has been issued for northeast Oklahoma, but not for Kansas at this time. Hazards include up to quarter sized hail and 50 to 60 mph winds. Widespread severe weather is not expected.

A tornado watch has been issued for much of northeast Oklahoma. The watch includes the following counties until 1 a.m.:

A couple of tornadoes, hail to the size of tennis balls and 80 mph wind gusts are all possible with severe thunderstorms expected to move through the area.

Severe weather is possible Saturday evening for the four-state area.
Severe storms are expected to develop after 7 p.m. along and east of the Kansas Turnpike, then progress eastward. The threat area will include all of southeast Kansas, northern counties in Oklahoma and parts of western and central Missouri. Potential hazards include up to golf ball size hail, 50-60 mph winds, and a low chance of a brief tornado.
