Early voting begins today in Oklahoma for the April 1st election.
There are more than 100 issues on the ballot across the state, including a bond issue vote in Nowata. Nowata residents are being asked to approve two bond issues totaling $17 million to repair and improve buildings across the district. The fund would also cover improvements to the district's athletic and ag programs.
A second bond issue would go to purchase three new school buses for student transportation and to help expand the bus barn.
Nowata voters can cast their early votes between 8 and 6 today at the Nowata County Election Board at 228 North Maple Street in Nowata. All Oklahoma voters are eligible to vote early. No reason is required.
