A motorcyclist was seriously injured yesterday morning after striking a downed power line on Adams Boulevard in Bartlesville.

 

The collision occurred around just before noon after three over-sized trucks were traveling through the area prior to the crash. It is unclear if the over-sized loads contributed to the downed power line. Authorities say the trucks were operating within appropriate height restrictions.

 

The driver of the motorcycle was transported via ambulance to a Tulsa hospital in stable condition.

 

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
