Murder Charges Dismissed As Neodesha Man Pleads No Contest

A Neodesha man enters a plea of no contest in the 2024 death of a Coffeyville man.

Ryan McCollough was originally charged with second-degree murder and aggravated battery in the death of David Wintjen. The two men were involved in an altercation in May of 2024, and Wintjen later died from his injuries.

McCollough agreed to a plea deal in which he would plead no contest to the battery charge in exchange for the dismissal of the murder charge.

McCollough will face sentencing in the case on May 20.
