The Neodesha City Commission is set to make several proclamations at today's meeting.
With a new month comes new proclamations. The Neodesha City Commission will officially proclaim April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in an attempt to raise awareness to the problem of child abuse and neglect and highlight the need that all communities have in ensuring all children have positive experiences. The focus of the proclamation is also to help ensure all families have the support they need before they reach the crisis stage. Commissioners are also expected to proclaim April as Fair Housing Month.
Also on the agenda for today's meeting is an ordinance to set the date and time of commission meetings and another for contractor licensing. Commissioners will also appoint an individual to the KMEA and will be asked to approve the purchase of electric materials and the use of the Fall River Dam area.
Today's meeting begins at 2pm at City Hall and is also available via Zoom call at the City's Facebook page.
