Next month is Childhood Abuse Awareness Month and the City of Coffeyville officially recognizes April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in the City. Mayor Deborah Maples reads the proclamation.
Childhood Abuse Awareness Month raises awareness about child abuse and neglect by educating the public on the signs of abuse and how to report it, while promoting support for families and children at risk and advocating for policies and programs that prevent child abuse.
