Coffeyville City Commission to Discuss Need for Housing in City

The Coffeyville City Commission is set to discuss the need for housing in the city.

At this week's meeting, commissioners are expected to approve a resolution to establish a Reinvestment Housing Incentive District. This is a program that comes through the Kansas Department of Commerce with the purpose of aiding developers in building housing within communities by assisting in the financing of public infrastructure improvements.

The commission is also expected to approve the awarding of bids to repair a storm sewer at 5th and Santa Fe Streets as well as a bid for a water main replacement on West 6th Street. There will also be a second reading of the Home Rule Ordinance regarding Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

Tonight's meeting begins at 6:30 in the Commission Room at City Hall. The public is invited to attend in person or watch the meeting online vie the City's YouTube channel.
