Consolidation will be on the agenda at tonight's Independence Community College Board of Trustees meeting.
The topic is listed on the published meeting agenda under an executive session with possible action to be taken. Under the Kansas Open Meetings Act, executive sessions can be called during regular meetings to deal with issues of attorney/client privilege, contract negotiations or matters of personnel. No votes can be taken during such a session and matters discussed in executive sessions are considered confidential. A second executive session is scheduled to discuss the possible contract for a new school President.
Also on tonight's agenda is a request for approval for a new Industrial Maintenance Tech program and the continuing discussion of a possible welding program.
The meeting also includes a public comment portion during which attendees can voice their concerns over agenda items.
Tonight's meeting begins at 5:30 in room 104 in the Fab Lab or C-I-E building. The public is invited to attend.
