Montgomery County will revisit the burn ban resolution at today's Montgomery County Commission meeting.

 

At last week's meeting commissioners issued a 3-day ban that prohibited all outdoor burning in Montgomery County, due to the recent dry, windy weather. The original ban was allowed to expire late last week, but commissioners may consider similar weather forecast for this week in making their decision on the issue.

 

Also on this week's agenda, quarterly reports from County Departments will continue with County Attorney Melissa Johnson, Adult Community Corrections Director Dennis Webb, Facilities Manager Jeff Phelps, and Environmental Safety and Zoning Director Matt Debo.

 

Today's meeting begins at 9am in the Commission Room on the lower level of the Judicial Center in Independence. It is also available for viewing online via the County's Facebook page. The public is invited to attend.
