An accident involving multiple vehicles causes the shutdown of the westbound lanes of the Muskogee Turnpike in Oklahoma.

The accident occurred just before 6am this morning. Emergency crews are on the scene, including at least three ambulances and a medical helicopter. There is no word yet as to what, if any injuries, occurred.

Drivers are advised to avoid that area of the Muskogee Turnpike north of Porter until the accident can be cleared.
