The Midland Theater is one step closer to reopening thanks to a generous gift from a family with deep Coffeyville roots.
On Friday afternoon, Bill and Stacy Pratt presented a $100,000 check from the Pratt Family Charitable Fund to the Midland Theater Foundation as part of their matching challenge that took place late last year.
Longtime Coffeyville supporter Bill Pratt says this is an opportunity for him to give back to his hometown and leave a legacy for his family.
The matching 100,000 was raised in only two months during fundraising efforts last November and December. The auditorium renovation project is expected to get underway this year as fundraising efforts continue to open the theater by 2028, which is the Midland's 100 anniversary. Tax credits are still available for those interested in helping out and also getting a credit on their 2025 taxes. Details are available HERE.
