One person is dead following an early morning house fire in Hutchinson.

 

Fire crews were dispatched to a residence in the Reno County city around 3:45 this morning. Personnel was advised while en route that there was possibly a person still inside the home. The house was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived on the scene. It took nearly ninety minutes to bring the blaze under control, allowing emergency responders to remove the victim from the home.

 

Two neighboring homes sustained moderate damage.

 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
