A detention officer at the Stephens County Jail in Duncan, OK, faces rape charges for inappropriate contact with an inmate.
Stephens County authorities arrested 58-year-old Christi Gail Baird yesterday morning on two felony charges of Second-Degree Rape and Sexual Battery. The charges stem from allegations that Baird had inappropriate contact with an inmate in the Stephens County Jail during her employment there as a detention officer. The arrest was made following an investigation by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Baird is being held on a $25,000 bond.
