Former OK Police Chief Cleared of Wrongdoing

A former Pawhuska Police Chief is cleared of wrongdoing following an investigation by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

No charges will be filed against former Pawhuska Police Chief Lorrie Hennesy after she was placed on paid administrative leave in August 2024 following accusations from City Manager Jerry Eubanks that she violated department policy. Hennesy was later fired.

Hennesy's attorney Travis Vernier, said on Thursday that the criminal allegations against Hennesy were an attempt to weaponize the law. He also r thanked Osage County District Attorney Mike Fisher and OSBI agents for upholding the law and for their professionalism during the investigation. Vernier urged Pawhuska city leaders "to do the right thing" by clearing Hennesy's name and reinstating her as police chief.
