Parsons City Commission Approves Funding for Library Windows, Care Cupboard

The Parsons City Commission approves funding for several projects at this week's commission meeting.

Commissioners awarded a bid for a project to replace windows at the Parsons Public Library. Mayor Verlyn Boulanger says the project was awarded to the sole bidder.

Library Director Samantha Graven says the project is nearly ready to get underway.

In other business, commissioners also agreed to $12,000 in funding for the Parsons Car Cupboard, which offers free personal hygiene products to Parsons residents in need. The group recently added more products to their care packages and the funds will help offset those costs. Bids were also awarded for summer mowing services for city properties and for Oakwood and Pefley Cemeteries.
