Western Kansas Roads Re-Open Following Snow Storm

Good news for those needing to travel across western Kansas.

The Kansas Department of Transportation reports that all roads in western Kansas have reopened following yesterday's snow storm. A major weather system that moved across the Midwest yesterday brought blizzard conditions and caused road closures across the western portion of the state including all lanes of I-70 from Salina to the Colorado border. Roads were closed starting early yesterday morning and continuing into the evening hours, causing travel delays. KDOT began opening roads late yesterday afternoon and, by midnight, all roads were back op en to traffic.

Kandrive, gov reports this morning that all roads are open and travel conditions are back to normal.
