Improvements to Miami Pickleball and Tennis Courts

In response to the growing interest in the sport of Pickleball, the City of Miami is working on projects to repair and improve the playing courts.

During a storm in November, the fencing surrounding the tennis and pickleball courts had posts damaged and bent. These fence posts, mainly on the Pickleball side, will be getting replaced starting this week. The contractors are hoping to have it completed by the end of the day on Friday. After the fence posts have been installed, new windscreens will be put up starting on Monday.

The Indoor Pickleball Courts located at the Ottawa County Expo Building are also being refurbished. Crews started cleaning and painting the Expo building floors, including painting the Pickleball lines. It will take about a week to allow everything to dry properly. The courts should be ready by March 28th.
