The Dearing Fire Department responds to a grass fire yesterday evening.

 

Fire crews were called to the 300 block of Walnut Street in Dearing around 7:45 last night. Upon arrival, they found a controlled burn in progress and quickly extinguished the blaze. The owner of the property was unaware of the county-wide, 3-day burn ban currently in place in Montgomery County.

 

Dearing Fire reminds residents that high winds are still in the forecast and that no burning should be conducted without permission from your local fire department.
