Crews from Evergy and Cherryvale Fire are working to repair downed power lines this morning.

The call went out around 5:15 this morning of reports of downed power lines in the 300 block of South Labette Street. The lines were reported to be live and sparking and arcing.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area to allow repairs to be made.
