A fatal car accident occurred on K-96 in western Kansas early yesterday morning.

54-year-old Walter Waldren of Tribune died in a single-vehicle accident in Wichita County or about 60 miles northwest of Garden City. Waldren was ejected from his Ford F-350 pickup truck when it rolled after leaving the roadway. He was not wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred.

The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
