Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt is among those who lost property during the weekend fires.

Stitt was traveling the state to inspect fire damage near Stillwater and Mannford before traveling to Luther to check on his own property. The Governor’s ranch, located northeast of Oklahoma City was a total loss. Despite the damage, Stitt says he remains optimistic and confident that Oklahomans will be able to rebuild.

Stitt called the fires “heartbreaking” but added that he was proud to see so many Oklahomans helping their neighbors in their time of need.
