The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin a pavement remarking project on three roundabouts in the state, including the one located at US-160 and US-59 east of Altamont.
The project will begin today at the roundabout of US-69A and K-66 at Riverton and will then proceed to the roundabout near Altamont. The project is expected to take 10 to 15 days at each location, so the Altamont project may begin sometime late next week.
The project will conclude with the final roundabout marking at K-68 and Old Kansas Road at Paola. The project was originally slated to begin last Monday, but KDOT moved the start date to today for unknown reasons.
