Multiple units respond to a grass fire north of Coffeyville.

 

This afternoon around 2:15, the Dearing Fire Department was dispatched to a grass and timber fire near the intersection of County Road 2600 and 4500. Mutual aid was requested from the Coffeyville Fire Department, Coffeyville Resources and Liberty Rural Fire.

 

A snapped tree was blocking 2600 about a half mile east of 3900. Dearing FD had to clear the obstruction in order to respond.

 

Dangerous fire weather conditions continue this afternoon, and area fire departments remain busy.
