Cherokee Nation Signs Legislation for South Coffeyville Housing

Cherokee Nation Leaders, Native American Fellowship board members, and representatives of the City of South Coffeyville join together for the signing of legislation for housing in South Coffeyville.

Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. says this legislation designates the land near the old Southern Super Club in South Coffeyville as the Public Health and Wellness Reserve.  Hoskin says they plan to add more than just housing to the area.

The Cherokee tribe is making the largest housing investment in its history across its 7,000 square-mile reservation. This includes, during the last four years an investment of $7.9 million into housing in District 11, which includes South Coffeyville.
