Positive Changes Coming to Interstate Fair and Rodeo

There will be some new changes coming to the Interstate Fair and Rodeo in Coffeyville this year.

The Fair committee has added two counties that will be eligible to exhibit at the Fair. FFA members and 4-Hers from Neosho County in Kansas and Rogers County in Oklahoma will be eligible to show at this year's fair. They will join youth from Montgomery, Labette, and Chautauqua counties in Kansas and Craig, Washington, and Nowata Counties in Oklahoma.

Another change for the 2025 event is the transition to a mostly non-terminal event. Only Grand and Reserve Grand Champions from each species are required to go through the premium sale and they will be terminal. All other sale animals will be allowed to return home for the exhibitor.

The final change will be for the nomination and entry processes. Traditionally, these processes have taken place with paper forms and cash or check payments. This year, the process will take place entirely online.

This year’s Inter-State Fair and Rodeo will be August 10 - 16, at Walter Johnson Park. The Inter-State Fair and Rodeo livestock shows will begin on Tuesday, August 12
