An Independence man is arrested on multiple warrants after a traffic stop.

Tuesday at around 2:30pm, Independence Police officers responded to a tip regarding the location of Damone T. Hatch, who had multiple felony warrants issued by the Montgomery County District Court. Officers spotted a vehicle and saw a man fitting the description of Hatch entering the driver's seat.

During a traffic stop, officers asked for identification, Hatch refused to comply. He was detained and his identity was confirmed. Hatch was arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Department of Corrections for numerous warrants. Additional charges include interference with law enforcement and driving while suspended.
