Bartlesville Woman Charged with Threats and Forgery

 

A Bartlesville woman is facing felony charges after threatening someone with a knife and falsely writing checks.

 

35-year-old Ashlea McManigle was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and delivery of a forged check. According to the Bartlesville Police Department, on March 4th, McManigle got into an argument with the victim and pulled a knife. She made verbal threats to the victim and made overhead stabbing motions. McManigle fled the scene on a bicycle after the incident.

 

She also faces a felony charge of delivery of a forged instrument after writing checks to herself under someone else's name. According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, McManigle cashed seven checks from July to August totaling over $3,500.
