Residents in the town of Terlton, OK, located west of Tulsa, are evacuated due to the threat of a nearby wildfire.

The threat came on Tuesday night as the flames began to threaten homes in the city. Firefighters and Pawnee County Emergency Management officials say the fire remains active, though officials are allowing local residents back into the area. Additional fire crews have been called in to help battle the blaze.

Non-residents are asked to avoid the area to allow first responders to continue their work.
