The City of Sedan is awarded a state grant to fund the construction of a new library.

Sedan has received a Community Development Block Grant from the State of Kansas for $145,000. Director of the Sedan Public Library Kayla Ford traveled to Topeka this week to accept the funds on behalf of the city. The City of Sedan also thanked the grant writer Stephanie Marsh and architect Miranda Bruening for their help in securing the funds.

CDBG grants come through the Kansas Department of Commerce to provide funding for project that help low to moderate income rural communities thrive.
