Authorities in Cherokee County discover the body of a deceased man near the Kansas/Oklahoma state line.
The body was found in a wooded area near the intersection of US-69 and Southeast Star Road. Cherokee County Sheriff Brian Henderson says the man was located in a truck parking area where the Department of Transportation inspections used to occur. Henderson says foul play is not currently suspected, but his office will continue to investigate as they await the results of an autopsy.
The victim has been identified but his name has not yet been released pending notification of the next of kin.
