All eyes are on Friday's forecast as extreme fire danger is expected.
Afternoon relative humidity will be very low for southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma. Southwest winds 30 to 40 mph gusting near 60 will cause extreme fire danger for much of southeast Kansas extending south and west into south central Oklahoma. The worst conditions will be between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday. Burning should be avoided and all should be mindful of anything that could cause a spark.
