A weekend car chase near the City of Andover in south central Kansas winds up on the city's golf course.
The incident began around 2:30 Saturday afternoon when a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper attempted to make a traffic stop near Andover Road and US-400. However, the driver immediately fled the scene, driving the wrong way on the eastbound lanes of US-400. The driver then turned onto Andover Road, driving in between houses, before continuing to the Andover Municipal Golf Course.
Trooper chased the dirver along the golf course for nearly a mile before the driver returned to a city street. The suspect then abandoned the car and fled on foot before being apprehended a short time later. Authorities say the suspect was wanted in connection to a string of burglaries in the Wichita area.
