The City of Coffeyville is changing trash services starting next month.
Waste Connections will replace Republic Services as the City's new solid waste provider. There are some changes that will go along with the switch in services. All residential trash will be picked up on Fridays starting April 4th. Waste Connections will begin delivering new trash carts to residential homes starting next week through the end of the month. The delivery team will be working six days a week to ensure all carts are delivered to the correct addresses. Republic Services will make their final pick-up on Monday, March 31st. After that, residents should set their trash out for Friday, April 4th pick-up by Waste Connections. Republic Services will begin removing old carts starting Tuesday, March 25th.
Residents should leave their polycarts curbside after service from Tuesday, March 25th through Monday, March 31st, for pick-up. Make sure the cart remains at the curb until it is removed by Republic during this time frame. The City says the change is being made because the contract with Republic Services is up at the end of the month and their new bid was higher and would have raised prices. In order to keep prices the same they made the switch to Waste Connections.
