An inmate at the Lansing Correctional Facility is sentenced to nearly 20 additional years in prison for kidnapping a prison employee.

 

48-year-old Allan Kari received the sentence of 233 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections last Wednesday for the incident that occurred on June 7, 2023. During the incident, Kari was in a part of the prison he was not authorized to be in and hid in a women’s restroom to avoid detection. While in the restroom, he encountered a prison employee and prevented her from being able to leave the room.

 

Kari was already serving time for a rape conviction.
