There will be a couple of opportunities to take the storm spotter training class Storm Fury on the Plains this week.

Meteorologists from the National Weather Service in Wichita will be at the historic Gregg Theater to provide an in-depth weather presentation that will teach audiences about different types of storms and individual storm features. Attendees will learn how to recognize the potential severity of a storm and how to report hazardous weather and severe weather safely.

Training classes are tonight in Iola at the Creitz Recital Hall in the Bowlus Center basement at 205 East Madison and tomorrow night in Sedan at the Gregg Theater at 116 South Chautauqua Street. Both classes begin at 6:30.
