This afternoon will bring high fire danger for the four states.

Warm temperatures, low humidity and increasing southwest winds will raise fire weather concerns this afternoon across the KGGF listening area. Limited fire danger exists across parts of northeast Oklahoma and far northwest Arkansas, where little or no rain fell over the weekend. High fire danger will be in place across southern Kansas including Coffeyville, while counties on either side of the Kansas/Missouri line and to the north will see extreme fire danger as a red flag warning has been issued.

Fire conditions will be worst this afternoon between 1 and 6. Burning should be avoided and all should be mindful of anything that may cause a spark.
