A cattle pellet feed product sold in Missouri is recalled due to the risk of elevated levels of copper.
A-D-M Animal Nutrition is recalling several types of its pelleted cattle feed sold in Missouri as well as in five other states. Animals that ingest food with high levels of copper may experience chronic copper toxicity. Symptoms may include abdominal pain, dehydration, lethargy, and anorexia.
The animal food may also have low levels of zinc, which may lead to a deficiency in the animal. Symptoms of zinc deficiency may include a decrease in food intake and feed efficiency.
