A Wisconsin teenager wanted in connection to the death of his mother and stepfather is arrested in Kansas.
Police say 17-year-old Nikita Casap disappeared from his family home last week and, when police conducted a welfare check on his family home, they found his mother and stepfather dead from an apparent homicide. The welfare check was requested by the step-father's mother, who was contacted by Casap's school that told her he hadn't been in class for two weeks.
Casap traveled through several states including Illinois, Nebraska, and Colorado before being taken into custody in Wakeeney, Kansas, on Saturday after running a stop sign. Casap remains in custody in Trego County and it is unclear if he will be extradited to Wisconsin. He has not been charged in connection to the two deaths.
