The City of Neodesha will receive a Community Development Block Grant to revitalize the historic Brown Hotel.

 

The Brown Hotel in downtown Neodesha was built in 1886 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Garrett Nordstrom with Governmental Assistance Services says the refurbishment process will occur in phases.

 

Nordstrom adds there is a great deal of work to be done, but maybe not as much as originally thought.

 

The City announced the project at the most recent meeting of the Neodesha City Commission.
