Strong to severe storms are possible tonight into tomorrow morning for eastern Kansas and Oklahoma.
Storms are expected to develop east of I-135 late tonight, moving across the Flint Hills between midnight and 4 a.m. and between 3 and 8 a.m. for the Coffeyville area. Dime to quarter-size hail and 70 mph wind gusts are all possible. In addition, a brief tornado can't be ruled out. The main threat area remains centered around central Oklahoma.
In addition, strong northwest winds are expected tomorrow afternoon through early Wednesday with gusts of 60 mph possible. Because of this, most of Kansas including Montgomery County will be under a high wind watch tomorrow afternoon through early Wednesday.
Finally, snow is possible for the area Tuesday night, although chances for southeast Kansas look slim. KGGF will provide severe weather coverage if needed.
