**UPDATE**

Police in Haysville are calling an early morning accident in which a car crashed into a house "suspicious."

 

The accident occurred around 12:30 this morning in the 6500 block of South A Street. Officers say the male driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and that a female victim was discovered nearby, suffering from minor injuries. Gunshots were also reported in the area and shell casings were found in the vicinity.

 

No names have been released as officers continue to investigate the incident.

An early morning accident in south central Kansas leaves one person dead.

 

The accident happened around 12:30 this morning in the City of Haysville. Early reports indicate that a car crashed into a house in the 6500 block of South A Street. There is no word as to whether the deceased person was in the vehicle or inside the house. Sedgwick County dispatch indicates that at least one other person sustained serious injuries.
