Kansas Senator Jerry Moran is appointed chair of a major Senate subcommittee.
The U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation recently announced that Moran has been selected to chair the Subcommittee on Aviation, Space, and Innovation. This subcommittee has jurisdiction over both the F-A-A and NASA as well as the civil aviation and space policy functions of the Department of Transportation, Department of Commerce and National Space Council within the Executive Office of the President.
Moran says his priorities on the Subcommittee include aviation safety, industry oversight, space exploration, and commercial space growth.
