Nowata County Commissioners are anticipating spring weather.
At this week's commission meeting, County Emergency Manager Laurie Summers spoke about the issue of severe weather. Summers says this spring looks like it may bring a lot of rain.
Commissioners also discussed ongoing improvements at the Nowata County Courthouse. Commissioners say they must maintain their role in the latest round of funding.
The most recent improvements include PVC piping and cutting holes in the walls for further maintenance.
Commissioners also announced during the meeting that eight of the 10 voting precincts in Nowata County will be open for the upcoming elections on April 1. The top issues include Nowata bond issues and the Copan School Board election.
