Coffeyville Friends of Animals is currently operating at over maximum capacity.
CFA Board Director Becky Barnhart says they started a spay and neuter program last month that they hope will help with this in the future. Barnhart says the process of participating in the program is very simple.
Another contributing factor to the shelter being over capacity is lost and unclaimed dogs. Anyone missing a pet can check the CFA Facebook page to see if their dog has been posted. They can also call the shelter at (620)252-6060.
